Instead of functioning as a PowerPoint add-on (as it did previously), sofTV.ShowAndTell is now a completely self-contained authoring application; it no longer limits users to recording and synchronizing audio from within PowerPoint. Users of sofTV.ShowAndTell can now work outside of PowerPoint, independently recording or importing audio and synchronizing it with a wide variety of online content slides, including PowerPoint slides, Flash files, images, Adobe PDF files, URL links, and links to any other type of file or document. The end result can be easily published locally or to the web as a synchronized streaming audio presentation.

New Interface and Functionality – The application interface has been completely redesigned to emulate the intuitive interface and advanced functionality of XStream's sofTV.Presenter streaming media authoring tool (with similar capabilities, components, wizard, icons, colors, etc.). You can synchronize anything with your presentation – a web page, an Excel document, a Word document, a graphic file – anything that you can open in a browser, you can now synchronize with your presentation.

Intuitive Steps Bar – The easy-to-follow steps bar enables even a novice user to easily create a synchronized audio presentation. Just import your desired content matter, choose any one of the included templates, and select your audio stream source - it's that easy!

Step-by-Step Wizards for Authoring and Publishing – An intuitive presentation authoring wizard. Using a simple series of dialog boxes, the developer is guided step by step through the entire process of creating a synchronized audio presentation. Similarly, an intuitive publishing wizard guides the developer in publishing the finished presentation locally, to a network path, or remotely using FTP.

Template Library – A library of built-in HTML templates that you can easily customize with your own logo, picture, and information.

Preview Presentations – A preview playback engine. The user may preview a presentation to see how it works before publishing it.

SCORM v1.2 Compliance – Published presentations are fully SCORM v1.2 compliant. Presentations can be launched and tracked in any SCORM-compliant Learning Management System (LMS).

Backward Compatibility with ShowAndTell v3.2 – sofTV.ShowAndTell v4.0 is backward compatible with v3.2. Presentations created with sofTV.ShowAndTell v3.2 may be imported into sofTV.ShowAndTell v4.0 for editing and publishing.
