sofTV.net™ Launches sofTV.MediaSuite™
Expands upon success of sofTV.Author and sofTV.Playlist
Ottawa, Canada, January 3, 2000 – sofTV.net today launched sofTV.MediaSuite, an expansion of its suite of rich multimedia web building tools for creating and managing real-time, live, rich media enhanced web sites.
sofTV.MediaSuite builds upon sofTV.net’s original products, sofTV.Author, a WYSIWYG template-based authoring tool for streaming media enabled web sites, and sofTV.Playlist, a tool for creating playlists of video programming and inserting event triggers into streaming video files that synchronize the video with the interactive content on the rest of the web page.
New products that are part of the sofTV.MediaSuite include: sofTV.LiveEvent, that allows web site operators to insert web page synchronization triggers into LIVE video or audio streams; sofTV.Chat, that provides an extremely easy interface for integrating Chat regions into your web page; sofTV.LivePoll, that provides an easy and fun facility for viewers to vote on whatever issue the web site operator wants, and shows viewers the tabulated poll results LIVE; and sofTV.Scheduler, that allows web site operators to schedule video, audio, text or graphics to appear on their web site according to time of day, day of week, or date.
sofTV.MediaSuite is a browser-centric set of tools that make full use of dynamic HTML and standard streaming technologies from Real Networks, Microsoft and Apple. The sofTV.net technology creates web sites that automatically support both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator / Communicator. sofTV.MediaSuite integrates with customers’ standard web authoring tools, to turn static web sites into enhanced, rich media viewing or transactional experiences.
